Kids deserve active dads.
Not perfect dads. Present dads who keep showing up, trying again, and letting their kids watch a healthy life take shape in real time.
About the community
Dads Who Move is built around a simple idea: life feels better when dads get outside together.
Not for performance. Not for appearances. For healthier lives, stronger friendships, and mornings that leave you lighter than you arrived.

The walk ended an hour ago. Nobody was in a hurry to leave.
Our mission
Movement is simply the beginning.
Connection is the goal.
A walk, a game, or a trail gives dads a reason to show up. What grows from there is the part that matters most: friendship, consistency, confidence, and the kind of memories families feel long after the morning is over.
What Saturday morning feels like
Someone pulls in a few minutes early and wonders if they should have come.
Another dad walks over, says hey, and makes the first part easy. The conversation starts with kids, work, sleep, or sore legs. Nothing dramatic. Just normal life.
The group gets moving. The pressure drops. People loosen up. The walk turns into stories, the stories turn into laughter, and the hour passes faster than expected.
Then the walk ends and nobody seems ready to head home yet. Coffee happens. A few dads linger near the trailhead. Numbers get exchanged. Plans get repeated for next week.
That is usually how it begins. Not with a big breakthrough. Just with one good Saturday that quietly makes the next one easier.
It's never just a walk.
The coffee afterwards is often where the best conversations happen.
The walk is the excuse. The friendship is the point.
What we believe
Not perfect dads. Present dads who keep showing up, trying again, and letting their kids watch a healthy life take shape in real time.
A walk can clear your head. A trail can rebuild confidence. A simple weekly rhythm can quietly change the shape of your whole week.
So many men want stronger friendships, but adulthood rarely hands them a natural place to begin again.
Some dads are training. Some are restarting. Some just need a reason to get out the door. All of it counts here.
The first walk and the first conversation should feel possible, not intimidating.
The first conversation is usually the hardest. The second Saturday isn't.
Life has enough pressure already. This should feel like a breath of fresh air.
The goal is not one heroic weekend. It is a life built around steady movement, real connection, and rhythms that last.
No image to maintain. No pressure to impress. Just come as you are and let the rest take care of itself.
Why we started
Making friends as a dad can be strangely hard. Life fills up. Family rhythms take over. Work gets loud. Weeks move fast.
At the same time, a lot of dads want the same things: a reason to consistently get outside, healthier routines that actually last, and real friendships that do not depend on luck or perfect timing.
Dads Who Move was started to make that easier. Not by building something polished or exclusive, but by creating simple, repeatable ways to show up together.
If a walk can help a dad feel better in his body, reconnect with himself, and slowly build friendships he can count on, that is already something worth creating.
